Dear Customer
This week sees two of our Application Engineers travelling to Houston for the first COADE User Conference. Naveed Khan and Chris Bradshaw will represent Fern at the conference and will attend and assist with CAE and CAD lectures and workshops.
The conference will cover all COADE products and users from all over the world are expected to attend.
Distinguished presenters with many years experience include Tom Van Laan, Tony Paulin, Richard Ay, John C Luf and others.
We look forward to some interesting conference feedback from Chris and Naveed.

CADWorx 2010 - now shipping!
Amongst the many new features are:
- Added support for AutoCAD 2010, 2009, 2008
- New installation routine to install all products
- Supports carry over to ISOGEN and CAESAR II
- I-Configure is a new GUI interface for ISOGEN

CADWorx Plant Pro
- A licence of CADWorx P&ID (worth €1190,- stand alone or €11546,- network) will be shipped free of charge with each New or Upgraded seat, or UMS renewal (including re-instatement) of CADWorx Plant Pro
- The P&ID licence will be locked to and matched (Stand alone or Network) to the Plant Pro licence; so network users still gain full benefit.
- As long as the Plant Pro licence that the P&ID licence is attached to remains current under UMS the P&ID will also be maintained at no additional cost; so future free benefit as well.
- Understandably, as this is a free gift to aid productivity; it will have no trade-in value should you wish to upgrade it to P&ID Pro.
Your Action:
All you have to do is buy a new licence or renew the UMS before December 31, 2009.

- The Datasheets licence is locked to the P&ID Pro licence.

Mitred Pipe in CADWorx Plant 2010

If ISOGEN isometrics do not appear correctly, open the ISOGEN Component Edit dialogue box for the mitred pipe in the model. Enter ICEDIT at the command line, then select the mitred pipe. |
  The ISOGEN isometric will then show the actual pipe route
Now edit the Mitred Pipe Export Options to “Pipe With Welds”.
Multiple component modifications
If you would like to make the same changes to multiple components in CADWorx P&ID 2010, amend one and then use the match properties utility available from
P&ID > Utility > Match Properties
(or by typing PIDMATCHPROP at the command line).
Select the modified component and then select all the other components you wish to change.
Adding a blind flange to a nozzle

To add a blind flange to a nozzle in CADWorx Equipment 2010, highlight the nozzle item in the Equipment palette and select the Body Flange component.
CADWorx will add the body flange at the end of the nozzle as a blind flange. |
CADWorx enhancement requests
This is your chance to influence product development.
The form can be used by any user to submit an enhancement request.
All requests will be evaluated and prioritised based on a given industry and market. The more requests for a particular item the more likely it gets into the software.
