The holiday season is passing quickly and here at Fern we are focussing on customer’s requirements in the hectic September to December period.

We have a lot happening, including our 2011 product release presentations that will be held at Intergraph offices around our region.  Full details will be issued soon starting with an event at Intergraph’s UK head office in Swindon which will include a keynote address from Kevin Holmes, Intergraph’s regional Vice President.

The new releases of all products will deliver gains for everyone through new features and code updates/additions. Remember to make sure your Maintenance is up to date so that you receive the new releases automatically.  Provisional release dates are:

CADWorx 2011 Feature Release
BETA program

We are pleased to announce the CADWorx 2011 Feature Release BETA Program. This important program will begin August 1st and continue until September 10th.
If you are interested in being a special BETA tester please fill out the BETA Program Application Form here.

To participate in the BETA Program you will need a CADWorx Hardware Lock and be current on your maintenance agreement. If you are not current or do not have a hardware lock but would still like to participate please contact us.

This program will test all new features of CADWorx 2011, including Plant, P&ID, Equipment and Steel along with general enhancements.

CADWorx 2011 Preview

Fern have created a video showing a selection of new features in CADWorx 2011 including Pipe Routing (Connect), Piping Rules (Automatic), Change Size (Tee sizing for Spec branch table), Sub Assemblies and Change Spec. Preview request.

9th June CADWorx build

New Command:
 VIEWEDITALL in CADWorx Plant 2010

The new VIEWEDITALL command allows quick access to all View Boxes present in a model drawing.

Previously the View Editing window could only be brought up where a view box was shown in the model.

Updated Spec Change command:
  SPECCHG in CADWorx Plant 2010

The Spec Change command both summarises the changes made at the command line and the path to a new log file that is written also appears in the command window.

CADWorx / CAESAR II fix

When annotating a Stress ISO in CADWorx Plant 2010 a HANGER REPORT may be missing in the Categories list of the Results – Point section.

A Hanger Table (and W/Text) is available in the Caesar II Static Output processor – General Computed Results column that can be viewed in Caesar II.

A fix for users experiencing this issue is available from CADSupport.
