Manager's Note
Dear Client
We are delighted to advise that Genin & Garces, S.L. in Spain, and Estupe Engenharia e Projectos Unipessoal Lda, in Portugal have entered into a COADE Global Network Partner Agreement with Fern. Both companies have provided COADE software in their respective regions for several years and have built a strong client base. Fern will now be supporting their activities and this should add value to overall customer service.
Enquiries through our website will be routed to the respective region and reseller site. A new website including the new links should be active in about 10 days.
Bill Evans (COADE Vice President Sales) and Billy Rasco (COADE Dealer Channel Manager) visited several of Fern's UK customers last week. Messrs Evans and Rasco were very pleased to find that Fern's customers provided very positive feedback on service and product performance.
For 2009 Q1, Fern was the top selling COADE Global Network Partner in the World and we thank all our customers for making this possible.
See you next month!
Best wishes
Marijana Bicanic

Hints & Tips
User Shapes to CAESAR II
When using the CADWorx to CAESAR II bi-directional interface, CADWorx User shapes are not transferred to CAESAR II and there will be a gap in CAESAR II where the user shape was located in the model.
To export User Shapes to CAESAR II a Rigid Element must be drawn in the CADWorx model and placed across the User Shape.
The Rigid Element can be given the correct weight for transferring to CAESAR II.
Rigid Elements can be drawn from the CADWorx Miscellaneous toolbar
Insulation on ISOGEN Isometrics
By default the template ISOGEN styles are set to suppress insulation and tracing. To turn this on change Option Switch 61 in the Options File or the Iso Content tab.
Use the Project Manage to select the required Style and on the Drawing Control tab within Project Manager, select the Options File variable and click the Edit button to open the correct Options file for editing.

P&ID Inline Component Data Inheritancy
When an inline component is inserted into a line when using CADWorx P&ID with a live database link, one of the hidden CADWorx fields is filled in automatically with the unique ID of the line it is placed onto.
Using this information, a simple query can be set up to run within the database to fill in any values in the inline item with any values from the Process Line.
For example to fill the Area in for a valve to match the line the following could be used:
UPDATE [Components-Valves], [Components-Process Lines] SET [Components-Valves].AREA_ = [Components-Process Lines]![AREA_]
WHERE (([Components-Valves]![LINE_ID_1_]=[Components-Process Lines]![ID_COUNT_]));
